Hello, and welcome to my personal book diary. I’m Caribou and I’m a freshman in college and I love to read and have random opinions on a wide variety of things including books. Lucky for you, I’ve decided to begin putting pen to paper and sharing those thoughts with you, my adoring fans.  

One thing I struggle with as a reader is valuable and understandable book reviews. Before I choose a book, I check the reviews on Goodreads, and there’s usually a buttload of scathing reviews picking apart the writing or plot devices. And don’t get me wrong, sometimes I can’t get through a book because of stilted or boring writing, but not every book needs to be some literary masterpiece. On the other end of the spectrum, there’s people who leave a random number of stars with little to no explanation about what they liked or didn’t like. I aim to land somewhere in the middle with my honest thoughts about popular books in an easily digestible manner with hopefully just the right amount of pretentiousness.  

I love reading (obvi), dogs, being outside (not if it’s above 70 degrees), and lifting (I aspire to be a muscle momma).
